Oaxaca, Oax.- Cecilia Mingüer, former director of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Oaxaca (MACO), appeared alive confirmed justice authorities and family members.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Unit for the Search for Disappeared and Unavailable Persons issued a search form, six hours later, their relatives reported that the defender of labor rights had communicated, to inform that he was with good and without cell phone signal in an area of the Sierra de Oaxaca.
Mingüer was last seen on December 25.
Yesica Sánchez, director of the collective Consorcio Oaxaca, confirmed the appearance of Cecilia Mingüer.
“Cecilia Mingüer has been located, confirms her family. Thank you very much to all of you for your action in searching and locating it, ”the Oaxacan activist reported.
The Human Rights Ombudsman of the People of Oaxaca (DDHPO) had started a file of office for his disappearance under the file DDHPO / CA / 0513 / (01) / OAX / 2021.
45-year-old Cecilia Mingüer leads the struggle of at least 12 workers from this Oaxacan cultural complex, who since April 2020 have not received their salaries and have also denounced threats and harassment.
