Mexico reports 4,426 new cases, the highest number since October – El Financiero

The Ministry of Health reported this Tuesday that the total of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Mexico reached the 3 million 956 thousand 372.

They registered 4,426 positive cases confirmed in the last 24 hours, which means the registration of highest daily infections since October 28.

With regard to deaths, the agency indicated that in the last 24 hours a record of 125 deaths.

With this, the total of deaths due to the SARS-CoV-2 virus in our country was located in 298,944.

On the other hand, the Health Secretary added that for now there is 22 thousand 783 active cases of COVID-19. These refer to those people who have shown symptoms of the disease in the last 14 days and are therefore contagious.

The states that accumulate the highest number of cases are: Mexico City, State of Mexico, Nuevo León, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Tabasco, Puebla, Veracruz, Sonora and San Luis Potosí, which together make up 65 percent of all cases accumulated registered in the country.
