Through a press release, parliamentary leaders Jorge Romero Herrera (PAN), Ruben Moreira Valdez (PRI) and Luis Espinosa Cházaro (PRD) assured that the budget for next year that was approved in San Lázaro violates the principle of progressivity, which is framed in article 1 of the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States (CPEUM).
They indicated that the approved budget violates this principle because cut and did not increase the amount of money allocated to social programs or specialized agencies, They are intended to protect and guarantee human rights.
“This principle, as the SCJN has upheld, has the purpose that rights develop gradually and evolutionarily, that is, that they do not remain static”

“The deputies added that this expenditure budget represents a threat to democracy in Mexico, since it affects the budget of the National Electoral Institute, forcing them to carry out their constitutional mandate without sufficient resources; thus violating the right of Mexicans to participate in said democratic processes, such as the Revocation of Mandate “
Finally, the coalition celebrated that, for the first time, three parties contest the budget together, I acknowledge your work in favor of respect for human rights.
