Gerardo Fernández Noroña, a deputy from the Labor Party, said in a transmission on social networks that he made the determination to desist from his aspirations for the presidency of Mexico in 2024.
“I have been reflecting on the last campaign that I have had to live of denial, slander, lies, intrigue within the movement and I have made the determination to make known that I give up my aspirations towards 2024”, declared Fernández Noroña this December 28th.
“I do not want to continue in that dynamic, absolutely perverse, of wear and tear, of intrigue in which I did not enter or did not intend to, but I have made that important decision and I wanted to comment on them, without further ado,” said the deputy.
After his remarks, the deputy clarified that his words were within the framework of this December 28, the Day of the Holy Innocents.
“Innocent conservative popcorn, you were fooled,” he said with a laugh.
“Nothing to give up. Do not lie, do not steal, do not betray, do not steal and do not give up. By no means to legitimate aspirations, we are going with everything in due course towards 2024. I legitimately aspire to be the replacement of the comrade President and I will do all my effort with principles, with honor, with dedication, with honesty, with truth, with passion, but above all, with enormous love for the people and with an enormous vocation of service, “said the presidential candidate.

Fernández Noroña: I would be very honored to be the tenant of the National Palace
When pronouncing last October in favor of the opinion of the Federal Income Law, Deputy Gerardo Fernández Noroña said that he would feel “very honored to be the tenant of Palacio Nacional, frankly”.
On the platform, the vice-coordinator of the Labor Party in San Lázaro declared that “the gravediggers of the PRD despise the most important political position that the Republic has, the greatest honor you can have, which is to be the president of the Republic, our fellow president a great honor”.
“Long live comrade President López Obrdaor, long live this revolution without violence that is the Fourth Transformation,” the candidate for the Presidency of Mexico in 2024 expressed in the Chamber of Deputies.
Through social networks, Fernández Noroña also said that he had to defend Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard and the head of Government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum, from “the rabid attacks of the gangsters.”
He indicated that while defending Sheinbaum, a deputy from Morena shouted: “next president”, but he commented: “do not underestimate me, companion.”
“They do not have candidates for the Presidency, nor is their boss going to be Mr. X junior (Claudio X. González), nor is it going to be Mr. Hoyos (Gustavo de Hoyos) (…) So they have no candidates and they come here cowardly to confront.
“Monreal may be one of your candidates, certainly, but I don’t think he will accept such an indignity. So they come here to attack very valuable colleagues like Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard, who has done a splendid, brilliant, truly remarkable job.
“Or to comrade Claudia Sheinbaum who has done an extraordinary job as head of government in the capital of the country,” declared Fernández Noroña.
“Who knows, don’t underestimate me, partner, who knows,” Fernández Noroña expressed before the expression of the legislator.
