With the mission of helping more than 80 thousand people economically, the Government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador coordinated the deposit of 3,100 Mexican pesos in order to appease the ravages of the pandemic, thanks to the program ‘Wellbeing Pension‘, with which the local authorities prepared to provide support to all the elderly in the country. Regarding the amount, it is worth remembering that it will be deposited every two months through the Wellbeing Bank.

Registration is open to older adults residing in Mexico City. What everyone expected was also the news of the beginning of this support and that is how the ‘Welfare Pension’ is already underway with the amount of 3,100 pesos that will be distributed on a bimonthly basis. For this occasion, the benefit will be to more than a million people.

To register, you must go to the modules assigned in your mayor’s office or municipality. If necessary, you can request a home visit. In this way, the staff of the Ministry of Welfare will come to your home to complete this registration. Likewise, there is the possibility of registering a person as an auxiliary during the process and this person can withdraw the pension.

Welfare Pension: how to register?

  • Check the registration calendar and detect according to your initial letter of the paternal last name which day is your turn.
  • Locate your registration module on the official page.
  • Go to the module that corresponds to you on the day and time, and present the requested documents
  • Once your documents are delivered, they will give you a card with the economic amount of 3,100 pesos.

Amount of payment of the ‘Welfare Pension’

The payment of $ 3,100 pesos is deposited every two months in the bank account that the Secretariat provides you at the time of registration. All adults in the Mexican Republic who are 68 years old or older can be candidates for this program. On the other hand, the minimum age required is reduced to 65 years, as long as you reside in a municipality that is part of the indigenous communities.
